The European Junior Golf Tour (EJGT) is back this summer holidays, promising an exciting series of tournaments for UK-based junior golfers. Sponsored by Golfway, the tour is dedicated to providing accessible, fun, and competitive golf experiences for youngsters of all genders and abilities. Entrants will be playing for the chance to be invited to the grand final at the prestigious La Cala Golf Resort in Malaga, taking place during the October half-term.
What is the EJGT?
An introduction to competitive (but fun!) tournament golf for junior players of all abilities.
The EJGT welcomes players of all backgrounds, including new starters, from ages 4 to 16 years old. Players are placed into age-based categories ensuring that every young golfer, regardless of their skill level, has a platform to shine. Whether your child is just starting out with a passion for golf or is already an emerging talent, the EJGT is accommodating and provides the perfect environment to develop their skills, compete, and enjoy the sport - as well as an opportunity to meet like-minded parents and families.
Launched in 2000, by golf professional Roger Shutt, the EJGT is a non-profit organisation that has provided a platform for thousands of junior golfers including Tommy Fleetwood, Tyrell Hatton and Aaron Rai. Roger is supported by ambassador Joanne Morley, Solheim Cup Vice Captain and former LPGA player and two-time winner on the Ladies European Tour.
Fun and competitive tournaments across the UK
EJGT events are spread across various locations in the UK, allowing participants from different regions to join in the excitement. Each tournament is organised to balance fun and competition, making sure that every junior golfer enjoys their time on the course while striving to achieve their best. These events are not just about winning; they are about building friendships, learning sportsmanship, and creating lasting memories.
The race to Spain: The final at La Cala
Playing in EJGT events leads to an extraordinary opportunity: the chance to compete in the final event at La Cala Golf Resort in Malaga, Spain.
