The Miguel Ángel Jiménez Golf Academy and La Cala Resort played host to the finale of the European Junior Golf Tour 2023 sponsored by Golfway, with over 40 junior golfers aged 7-16 competing across the week.
Held in Malaga, Spain, the finale of the EJGT celebrates the achievements of juniors from the United Kingdom, who qualified for the event by competing in the events throughout the calendar year, as well as welcoming other top juniors from across Europe. The finale is an opportunity for families to enjoy a holiday on the Costa del Sol while giving the competing juniors a tangible experience of life on tour.
Golfway is proud to support the European Junior Golf Tour's mission to provide accessible, competitive and most importantly fun tournament opportunities. Successful pros have played on the European Junior Golf Tour as juniors, including Tommy Fleetwood, Tyrell Hatton and Aaron Rai.
On the finale EJGT Founder Roger Shutt commented: "This week has been a tremendous experience for the juniors, not only playing golf in new and challenging conditions but bringing together children from the UK, Belgium, Sweden, Germany, Czech Republic, Cyprus and Slovakia. These events bring like-minded families together and create friends for life"
"I am delighted that the juniors in the under-8 (years old) category were able to play in a team event against the Spanish juniors from Miguel Jiménezs' Golf Academy. We look forward to developing this relationship year on year. We thank Golfway for their support and sponsorship and I look forward to seeing the content they create from a brilliant week's golf."
Ross Bell Golfway Marketing Manager commented: "We would like to thank the staff at La Cala and Miguel Jiménezs' Golf Academy for their hospitality throughout the week, the juniors and their families for being so welcoming, and most importantly our host and organiser Roger."
Content from the event is live on Golfway's Instagram, Facebook and Twitter pages, with a video coming soon on YouTube.
