The Open Championship isn’t just about crowning the world’s best golfers - it’s also about growing the game and welcoming the next generation of players. That’s why Golfway was thrilled to be the equipment partner for the Junior Area Swing Zone at this year’s Open - supporting fun, inclusive golf activities designed to ignite confidence and passion in young players.
Thanks to our brilliant partners at the Golf Foundation, who led these fantastic activations alongside Golf Ireland, the Junior Swing Zone became a buzzing hub of energy, learning and laughter. The Golf Foundation’s mission to introduce more young people to golf through engaging experiences aligns perfectly with our own, and it was an honour to see Golfway equipment playing such a central role.
Throughout the week, youngsters got hands-on with Golfway Play and Golfway Champion equipment - designed specifically to create safe, accessible and enjoyable golf experiences for all ages and skill levels.
With bullseye target games, putting challenges, and interactive golf stations, children were not only introduced to the fundamentals of the game, but also encouraged to build confidence, work together, and most importantly - have fun!
Each activity was tailored to be welcoming and inclusive, ensuring that every child could take part, whether they were picking up a club for the first time or already honing their skills.
Masters247 (Golfway) Business Development Director, Nick Horrocks said:
"This kind of junior engagement simply wouldn’t be possible without the dedicated team at the Golf Foundation. Their continued commitment to creating meaningful entry points into golf is inspiring, and events like this are proof of how partnerships can make a real impact.
We're also proud to have supported their collaboration with Golf Ireland, further extending the reach of these vital junior programmes."
At Golfway, we believe golf should be for everyone - and seeing so many young faces light up as they hit their first shot or sank a putt reminded us exactly why we do what we do.
We’re already excited for what’s to come. From local clubs to major events like The Open, Golfway is committed to supporting junior development through innovative equipment and experiences.
To the Golf Foundation, Golf Ireland, and all the incredible young golfers who joined us in the Swing Zone - thank you. The future of golf is in great hands!
Come on in! Let us show you around The Swingzone. 👋
